Languages and travelling have always been my passion!
I studied Sociology and Spanish at the University of Plymouth, UK. After my degree I trained as a languages teacher for German and Spanish. For 10 years I enjoyed educating young people, and during that time I also started my own family with two lovely children who are both bilingual.
Due to my love of language and reading, translation as a career was on my mind for some time and after my youngest daughter started school, I finally took the plunge and set up as a freelance translator – and I love it!
I joined the Institute of Translation and Interpreting (AITI) and hold an MA in Translation Studies from the University of East Anglia, UK.
